2004 Edition of the Constitution


ANNUAL AWARDS  

  1. To qualify for a year end award, a horse must have been shown in at least three (3) CRSHA approved shows and earned at least six (6) points in an approved set show bill class.  At the Annual Meeting, every class that receives points for year-end awards shall receive a year-end award through five placings*In case of a tie for any placing, the horse or rider (if in a youth class) with the greater number of higher placings will earn that award and the other will earn the next placing.
  2. A High Point All Around Horse of the Year End Award will be made to a qualifying high point horse of the year.  A Reserve High Point All Around Horse Year End Award will be made to a qualifying Reserve high point horse of the year.  To qualify, horse must earn at least ten (10) points from each of three different divisions.  The Divisions are;
    1. Halter
    2. Performance Events
    3. Timed Events

Excluded from these Divisions are the classes listed under “Rules for Showing Horses” article seven (7).

  1. The High Point all Around Horse Award valued at not less than $250 is to be used at the winners’ option toward a saddle, show halter, trophy, buckle or stable blanket.  The award must show the Cross Roads Stock Horse Association name, award and date.
  2. The Reserve High Point All Around Horse Year End Award will receive no less that $75 toward a pair of chaps or other options as above, also to show the Cross Roads Stock Horse Association Name, Award and Date.
  3. A High Point Judged Event Horse will be made annually.  A Reserve High Point Judged Event Horse will be made annually.  Excluding from these divisions; Novice Western Pleasure, Showmanship (19 and over), English Equitation, Designated Youth or Pony Classes.
  4. A High Point Timed Event Horse Award will be made annually.  A Reserve High Point Timed Event  Horse Award will be made annually.  Excluding from these divisions;  Designated youth and pony classes.
  5. A High Point Youth Judged Event Award will be made annually.  A Reserve High Point Youth Judged Event Award will be made annually.
  6. A High Point Youth Timed Event Award will be made annually.  A Reserve High Point Youth Timed Event Award will be made annually.
  7. A High Point Pony Award will be made annually.
  8. The High Point and Reserve High Point Awards should be appropriate and that should be decided by the Awards Committee, based on money available for awards and allocated by the Cross Roads Stock Horse Association Board of Directors.
  9. In case of a tie for any High Point Award, the horse or person with the most first place awards will earn the award and the other will earn the reserve award.
  10. A High Point Horse for each show will be Awarded using the same classes as the High Point All Around Horse.
