Cross Roads Stock Horse Association
Newsletter

Dear Cross Roads Members,
You are cordially invited to the 2011 Annual Membership Meeting scheduled on
February 27 at Golden Corral on Glenstone & Primrose starting at 4pm.
Activities will include the Annual Meeting of the General Membership at which
decisions will be made on the upcoming year, rule changes, 2011 set show bill,
Guest Speaker, etc. We have received two proposals to be voted on by the
membership.
Addition to the set show bill: Pee Wee (10 & under)-Walk Trot, Poles &
Barrels. If a child rides in the Pee Wee class, they may not compete in
another 13 and under riding class.
Allow two people from within the same household or family serve as board
members during the same calendar year.
Our Guest Speaker this year is: Jennifer Flood with Valley Water Mill
Equestrian Center!
Once again, we have a great Board of Directors and Officers working hard for
us this year. As usual we are selling pages in the Directory, with a dead-line
of February 28th, please contact Sonya Anderson or any Board Member
or Officer if you wish to purchase an ad or if you know someone who would like
to advertise in our directory. The revenue from the Directory is how we finance
our Awards, so it’s crucial that we sell as many ads as possible. The 2011 Horse
show schedule is being completed and will be posted as soon as it’s finalized.
The CRSHA Invitational was the biggest yet-over 400 entries! Plans are already
being finalized for this year’s Invitational Show Sept 24 & 25, 2011 at the
Lucky J Arena in Carthage Mo.
Upcoming Events
Horsefest is scheduled for March 11, 12 & 13 at the Fairgrounds. CRSHA
will have an informational booth again this year! If you would like to
volunteer to work during Horsefest let Lee Rollins, David McElwain or myself
know and we’ll put you on the schedule. Be sure and stop by our booth while
you’re at Horsefest!
Furry Fun Show and Trail Clinic scheduled for April 2nd at
Valley Water Mill Equestrian Park, start time 9am. Classes for all ages-Be
sure to tell everyone you know about this! Also-we need as many volunteers
as we can get to ensure a great time for everyone.
We are subscribing to Central Horseman publication again this year! Be sure
to pay your subscription fee of $7.50 to Janice Lee by April 1st in
order to get your copy for the 2011 season. We are continuing to update our
website www.CRSHA.net and Facebook with all of our horse show information and
events. The Banquet pictures have been posted- they are great, be sure and check
them out.
Life Time Members-if you know of someone who should be nominated give that
name to Jack Shuler.
I want to say a BIG-"Thank You" to the Officers and Board Members for
volunteering their time and energy to CRSHA. It’s this kind of commitment and
dedication that makes this a great organization to belong too!
Sincerely,
Lisa Ramsey, President
