2004 Edition of the Constitution


POINT SYSTEM  

  1. To collect CRSHA year end points at approved shows each owner and exhibitor must have a paid membership from the Cross Roads Stock Horse Association (except: Lead line, Walk-Trot, Youth Showmanship, Youth Horsemanship, English Equitation, Novice Western Pleasure, Showmanship at Halter, 19 and over.  The owner need not be a CRSHA member.)
  2. Points go with the horse when sold unless bought by a non member, in which event; the points would remain with the member.
  3. A record must be kept for the first six (6) in each CRSHA class.
  4. Breeds eligible for points in the CRSHA are; Quarter horse, Paint, Arabian, pinto (stock type horse), Morgan, Thoroughbred, Appaloosa and a combination of these as well as ponies.
  5. Points will be posted at every third show and at all the last four shows of the season.

  1. 6. Points to be awarded as follows;   Total points for first place shall not exceed five (5) nor more than the number of entries per class.  EXAMPLE: If there are four (4) entries, 1st place receives 4 points, 2nd place receives 3 points, 3rd place receives 2 points, 4th place receives 1 point.  If more than five (5) entries, points are awarded 5-4-3-2-1.
  2. Any individual horse entered into Cross Roads Stock Horse Association approved class must be entered under one name only, and points will be accumulated under one name only. If for any reason a mistake is made on entry forms with regard to the correct name of an individual horse, or if there is a name change due to official registration, notification must be made to the official point keeper and one active, non-family board member of CRSHA. Such notification must be in writing and delivered within the dates of two consecutive CRSHA shows following the original entry. No exceptions.
  3. The Point Keeper shall be responsible for keeping the points.
  4. The top six places in Annual point standings shall be printed in the newsletter.
